 An exceptional racehorse, HONOR GLIDE won the Turf Triple Crown, including the G1 Secretariat S., the G2 American Derby, and a stakes record setting, track record equaling G2 Arlington Classic.  HONOR GLIDE was the first  since BUCKPASSER in 1966 to accomplish this feat and no horse has come close since.  He won the G2 Bowling Green H. in track record time, and the G1 Sword Dancer H. in a spectacular performance, winning by 3 ¼ lengths.  At 7, HONOR GLIDE romped in the G2 Niagara S., setting a new stakes record, and placed in the G2 Hialeah Turf Cup.

Competing for 6 years against the top turf horses in the country, HONOR GLIDE retired sound with 11 wins and 7 places at the classic distances of 1 mile to 1 ½ miles. 

Boasting outstanding conformation and pedigree, HONOR GLIDE is by HONOR GRADES, the DANZIG sire from the world-renowned sire producing Weekend Surprise-Lassie Dear family.  Grandsons of DANZIG have already been a huge success at stud with 25of these stallions siring 51 G1 winners.  To compete and win at this level, you need sire power, and the DANZIG line continues to lead the way. 

HONOR GLIDE is out of the RUN THE GANTLET mare, Becky Branch, a full sister to APRIL RUN, Champion Grass Mare (USA), Champion Three-Year-Old Filly (FR), and Champion Older Mare (FR).  APRIL RUN defeated America’s best older males in the G1 DC International, and G1 Turf Classic. 

The quality of Honor Glide’s progeny has been evidenced in the sales ring, with a weanling bringing $37,000 and a yearling reaching $80,000.

Owned by Bonnie Heath Farm, HONOR GLIDE stands at Bridlewood Farm for $4,000, live foal.  His first foals are yearlings of 2005.  He is nominated to the Breeders’ Cup, Florida Stallion Stakes, Florida Thoroughbred Charities, and Georgia Sires Series.
